ICC Arrives. Plans for this week.

So now we have the arrival of Icecrown Citadel, the final raid of Wrath of the Lich King. As is our custom with new patches that bring big changes or new raid areas there will be NO RAID tonight, December 8.

We do want you to be aware of the plans for this week though so that you don't find yourself unable to join us when we start up again on Thursday. The current plan for Thursday, December 10 is as follows:

1) Weekly Raid Boss -- we will be tackling the random raid encounter for the week so that everyone can get 10 Emblems of Frost and start toward whatever gear they are wanting. Make sure you don't PUG it or you won't be able to join us.

2) ToC 25 -- We will be returning to ToC on Thursday to get more Anub loot. This will let ICC get settled during the first week. We are looking to start in ICC one week from today.

3) Onyxia -- After the fall of Anub we will return to the wyrmbog and hand Onyxia another defeat and take even more loot from her.

On Thursday we will be announcing a new rotation in the raid schedule (same nights). We will of course post it here as well.

The Weekly Raid Boss quest is for either the 10 or 25 man raid. You can only do it once, however, if you do the quest you only get locked to the instance that you did it in. Most of them are kills, and there are a few escorts in the list, but Blizz is not sure how well they will go by since they are a bit easier to do.

My 10 man group will be trying these out on Saturdays with our mains. However, if we are short some or you simply couldn't make the Duranub run of it, we can work something out. I am going to be limiting it to 2 alts per run though.

Honestly there are two things we are asking from this point going forward. Since we have multiple locks to manage.

Firstly: We will be running the weekly dungeon first thing on Thursdays as a group. It is considered part of our raid schedule, as we have always planned on this being a part of the schedule when the patch went live. The weekly quest is going to be one of the key ways to get folks gear, and as a result we are prioritizing it so that everyone has access to it. Raid members will be expected to be there on their normal raid mains so we can get in, kill the boss and get on with our business as fast as humanly possible.

Secondly: If you are planning on pugging 25 content, we please ask you to wait to lock your Duranub main to anything until AFTER Thursday. We still plan on trying to squeeze in as much content as possible, and while we will eventually drop Ony, we would like to have it as an option of something to raid.

If you are locked to any of the instances we plan on raiding a given night, then you are likely to forfeit your spot for the entire evening, as it is not fair to anyone we have to bring in your place to force them to drop just because you were unable to stay unlocked.

i was curious if this was going to drop tonight. I saw on my facebook that they were doing it today but when I tried before leaving for work it was not patching yet.

I only raid with you guys so getting locked out won't be an issue for me.

Some reports have stated that Blizz is planning on doing the Escort through the Death Knight Wing of Naxx tonight for a good portion of the realms.

Also, I am having a major brain fart day today. I forgot that Duranub is a 25 man >.<
Anyways, my post above is for anyone who wants to do the weekly raid and couldn't make it with their main and if I have room since you don't get locked from the 10 man instance if you do the 25 man one, you just can't do the quest.

Okay, I need more then 4 hours of sleep.
