Yes there is a raid tonight. We will be doing the weekly again because there is no raid for New Year's Eve. The weekly this week is the second boss of ToC. Since this is the case we will likely do all of ToC cause the gear in that raid is still very good for upgrades.

So now we have the arrival of Icecrown Citadel, the final raid of Wrath of the Lich King. As is our custom with new patches that bring big changes or new raid areas there will be NO RAID tonight, December 8.

We do want you to be aware of the plans for this week though so that you don't find yourself unable to join us when we start up again on Thursday. The current plan for Thursday, December 10 is as follows:

1) Weekly Raid Boss -- we will be tackling the random raid encounter for the week so that everyone can get 10 Emblems of Frost and start toward whatever gear they are wanting. Make sure you don't PUG it or you won't be able to join us.

2) ToC 25 -- We will be returning to ToC on Thursday to get more Anub loot. This will let ICC get settled during the first week. We are looking to start in ICC one week from today.

3) Onyxia -- After the fall of Anub we will return to the wyrmbog and hand Onyxia another defeat and take even more loot from her.

On Thursday we will be announcing a new rotation in the raid schedule (same nights). We will of course post it here as well.

I know I mentioned this on Tuesday, but I also know that not everyone was there. We are not going to try and officially raid anything on Thanksgiving Day.

We  are planning on raiding the Tuesday before, November 24.

No doubt you will eventually hear about the little problem that we experienced today. What I wanted to go ahead and say is that we have a solution in place and the raid will be happening as normal this evening (with just a few minor temporary changes).

Since the servers are not back yet and it looks like even if they do come up it will be around start time, we are just going to call the raid for tonight. Hopefully this outage today will nerf the instance boss. So we will see everyone this Thursday.

As is our tradition, today is another ground breaking patch releasing another tier of raiding into the game.  This means alot of new content flowing into azeroth, and for us directly another night of frustration as Argent Dawn will be near unplayable.  As a result as per bylaws we will not be holding a raid this evening.  Good luck getting the patch applied, your addons updated and working, and I will see you all on Thursday for another night of Ulduarama.

Today I put two new features into the website.  Both took a truly retarded amount of work, but both fill a missing niche.

Updating DKP

This has been an issue for awhile.  Whether or not people can actually hit the webdkp lists seemed to be fairly hit or miss.  In the back of my head all along I have known we would need a more stable replacement.  The DKP lists are maintained on the webdkp website, but there is no easy way to retrieve the data.  So through a series of experiences I have written a parser that will grab the data and repost it here.  If you mouse over the numbers you will receive popup notes stating that the green text represents the current dkp, and the blue text represents the lifetime dkp of each raider.

This feature can be found on the bottom left sidebar.



Last 20 Items with Item Links

For some time we had been retrieving a list of recent items from the wow progress website, however with the 3.1 patch several things appear to have broken.  The data we were receiving had been out of date since the patch was released, so essentially we had a completely useless feature.  Along with figuring out how to retreive the dkp table, I went through even more silly measure to get a listing of the last 20 items looted, who they went to and how many points were spent.  If you mouse over an item name, you will get a wowhead popup link.

This feature can be found on the bottom right sidebar.


All data should be no more than one hour old

I am posting this as a news blurb in the hopes of reaching more players faster.  Please study the diagram and be prepared to execute it tonight.  We will be changing up strats in hope of making this fight more manageable.

Just thought I would post a quick note to assure everyone that we are in fact planning on raiding tonight.

We will resume Thursday 04/16/2009 as normal.

Also of note.  The unofficial Sarth-Avon will NOT occur this week Wedsnesday 04/15/2009 as to save the raid lockout for Duranub.  Please do not lock yourself to OS 25 this week.
